NP/PA Street Medicine Provider opportunities in Sacramento, CA - California's state capital - 1.5 million person population Position Overview:

  • Full-time, permanent positions
  • Seeking Street Medicine Providers (MD/DO and NP/PA)
  • The Street Medicine Provider is responsible for providing direct medical care to people experiencing homelessness in the community.
  • This includes providing primary care, mental health care, and substance abuse treatment.
  • The Street Medicine Provider will also work to build relationships with people experiencing homelessness and connect them to other resources in the community.

What we are looking for: (The successful candidate will be willing and able to:) Provide direct medical care to people experiencing homelessness, including physical exams, medication management, and referrals to other medical providers. Build relationships with people experiencing homelessness and work to understand their needs. Connect people experiencing homelessness to other resources in the community, such as housing, food, and employment. Advocate for the rights of people experiencing homelessness and work to improve the quality of their lives. Participate in outreach and education activities to raise awareness of the health needs of people experiencing homelessness. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records. Complete all required paperwork and reports. Qualifications: (The successful candidate has:) At least 1-2 years of clinical experience working with underserved, low-income persons or homeless persons preferred. Current BLS and DEA certification Bilingual in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish speaking preferred (Nurse Practitioner:) Current California RN/NP/NPF License. Current Nurse Practitioner board certification. (Physician Assistant:) California Physician Assistant License Physician Assistant Certificate NCCPA board certification (MD/ DO:) Must be board certified or eligible in Internal, Family Medicine, or Pediatrics Fully licensed to practice in the state of California with no restrictions About the Medical Group: Federally Qualified Health Center committed to providing quality health care for all, with a focus on underserved and immigrant populations.
