**Family Practice Physician Assistant Opening in Goldendale, WA** Located 70 miles from Yakima and 2 hours from Portland, OR **Details:** - Full-time, permanent position - Seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join a Rural Family Medicine Clinic, committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate healthcare. Nestled in the heart of Goldendale, WA, the clinic serves as a vital healthcare hub for the surrounding rural areas, fostering strong connections with patients and their families. - The PA-C will provide primary care coverage for four days. - The Family Medicine team consists of 3 physicians and 6 APP providers. - The clinic is a designated Rural Health Clinic (RHC) and also offers ExpressCare, Pain Management, Behavioral Health, Optometry, and Dental. - Each FM provider has dedicated support staff and on site access to EMR support. - The EMR is Meditech Expanse. - The leadership structure in the clinic consists of a Medical Director (Physician), Clinic Director, Medical Support Staff Supervisor (RN) and Office Support Staff Supervisor. - Patient volume is 13-17/day - No call/OB. **General Summary:** The Physician Assistant (PA-C) provides primary medical care and treatment for clinic patients in consultation with other physicians/providers in Family Medicine within his/her scope of practice. The Physician Assistant provides clinically competent quality care and treatment for the patient from initial taking of medical history, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care, etc. and demonstrates safe, clinical decision making and expert care for the patient; provides patient education regarding care and treatment, as well as recommendations for health improvement. The Physician Assistant demonstrates excellence in customer service during interactions with patients, families and other customers and works collaboratively with colleagues and departments throughout the organization to provide optimal outcomes for patients in a compassionate, professional, ethical and knowledgeable fashion consistent with the vision, mission and values of the hospital. The Physician Assistant is aware of the potential exposure to internal and external hazardous materials, including but not limited to: blood and blood borne pathogens, infectious/communicable diseases, potential physical injury while caring for patients. Maintains a safe and clean environment for the care of the patient. **Education / Licensure:** - Masters Degree from an accredited school recognized by the American Association of Physician Assistant. - Current unrestricted registration/license in Washington State as a Physician Assistant. - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. - Basic computer knowledge required. **Compensation/Benefits:** - Salary: $114,680 - $163,506 - $10,000.00 sign on bonus. - Employee referral bonus program eligible $5,000.00 for eligible employees. - Benefits include Retirement, Paid Time Off, license fee reimbursement and CME. - Relocation assistance available. - Eligible site for the WA State and Federal loan repayment programs **Hospital Details:** Rural, critical-access hospital located in scenic Goldendale, Washington only two hours from Portland along the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge.
