**Position Details:**

- Outpatient only
- Provide comprehensive care in an outpatient express care setting.

**Family Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:**
- Provides general medical care to health center patients. 
- Supervises nurses and medical assistants in providing medical care to patients. 
- Evaluates patients health status and initiates therapeutic and preventive measures. 
- Educates patients by teaching preventative care. 
- Documents patients history and treatments. 
- Performs medical triage. 
- Stabilizes emergencies prior to hospitalization. 
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests. Follows-up on patients. 
- When appropriate, refers patients to specialists 
**Family Nurse Practitioner Requirements:**
- Active unrestricted NYS NP License 
- Board certification
