Position Details
* Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant opening serving Marianna and the surrounding Jackson County community in Northwest Florida
* Practice in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency department environment providing rapid assessment, triage, and stabilization
* Work collaboratively alongside board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians, experienced nursing personnel, and dedicated allied health professionals
* Modern emergency care facility equipped with advanced diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI, ultrasound) and rapid lab services

Position Responsibilities
* Perform comprehensive medical evaluations, rapid clinical assessments, and risk stratifications for emergency department patients of all ages
* Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, electrocardiograms, and bedside ultrasounds
* Formulate evidence-based treatment plans and perform emergency procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, joint reduction, and wound care
* Co-manage acute, high-acuity medical conditions and trauma stabilization under physician supervision
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, consulting specialists, and admitting teams to facilitate timely disposition and continuity of care
* Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Candidate Qualifications
* Graduation from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
* Active certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
* Active, unrestricted Florida Physician Assistant license (or eligible to obtain)
* Active DEA registration with full prescriptive authority in Florida
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required (ATLS preferred)
* Prior experience in emergency medicine or urgent care strongly preferred
