We are seeking to employ a full-time BE/BC Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Fellowship opportunity to join our Emergency Medicine Physician team at Good Samaritan University Hospital.

THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
- 537-bed hospital
- 90,000 annual ED visits
- Level II Trauma Center
- ED and Observation Unit
- Administration and Leadership, Observation and Emergency Ultrasound
- 21K Pediatric visits annually
- ACS Level 2 Trauma Center
- ACGME EM Residency Program and Pediatric Residency Program
- PEM Fellowship in development

- Opened a brand new 14-bed private Pediatric ED Summer 2020
Our Emergency Department
The emergency department evaluates and treats patients presenting with all types of emergencies, 24 hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week. It the only Verified Level II Trauma Center for both adult and pediatric patients on the south shore of Long Island. The emergency medicine clinical team works collaboratively with the in-hospital Trauma Team to provide immediate trauma care to all patients presenting with a traumatic injury. The emergency department also provides immediate access to a 24-7 cardiac percutaneous coronary intervention team and is a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The emergency department's staff includes physicians, nurses, and physician assistants who are trained and experienced in responding to emergent medical problems in patients of all ages. Approximately 90,000 injured or ill adult and pediatric patients are treated every year in the emergency department.
