Join Integrative Emergency Services (IES), an independent, physician-owned Emergency Medicine group, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado.

We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants (PA-C) and Nurse Practitioners (NP) for a Full-Time Emergency Medicine opportunity with our physician-led team.

Saint Joseph Hospital is a 400-bed hospital and Level IV Trauma Center with approximately 45,987 annual Emergency Department visits. APPs practice alongside experienced Emergency Medicine physicians with excellent specialty support, Epic EMR, and an ED-managed Observation Unit.

  • 24 total hours of APP coverage daily

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Emergency Medicine APP looking to join a collaborative, physician-owned practice in the heart of Denver.

Job Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the Emergency Department
Perform Emergency Medicine procedures within scope of practice
Order and interpret laboratory studies, diagnostic testing, and imaging
Develop appropriate treatment and disposition plans
Provide timely and accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
Participate in quality and patient-care initiatives
Provide clinical coverage within the Adult Emergency Department and ED-managed Observation Unit
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced Emergency Medicine environment
Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine physicians, hospitalists, specialists, nursing, and ancillary teams

Qualifications

Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience
Current Colorado license or ability to obtain
DEA required
ACLS required
Proficiency with Emergency Medicine procedures

Working Hours

Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Evening Shift: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Observation Unit: 12-hour shifts
APP coverage in the ED: 12 hours/day
APP coverage in the CDU: 12 hours/day
Total APP coverage: 24 hours/day
