Emergency Medicine APP | ASAP Start

WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking an Emergency Medicine APP for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity beginning ASAP. This Level II Trauma Center offers a high-volume emergency department with comprehensive specialty support, Epic EMR, and both physician and APP support.

Assignment Highlights

• Start Date: ASAP
• Coverage Type: Locum Tenens – Ongoing
• Commitment: Ongoing coverage
• Schedule: Multiple 12-hour and extended APP shifts available
• Setting: Level II Trauma Center
• Annual ED Volume: Approximately 77,000 visits
• Daily Volume: Approximately 192 patients per day
• ED: 53 beds, including 8 fast-track beds
• Patient Volume: Approximately 2 patients per hour
• Support: MD and APP coverage
• EMR: Epic
• Travel: Travel expenses covered

NP/PA Shift Schedule

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday:

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Monday & Wednesday:

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 4:30 PM – 12:30 AM
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible within 5 years
• Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine candidates accepted
• Active New York license in hand
• New York DEA in hand
• PALS required
• ACLS required
• ATLS required

Emergency Department & Clinical Support

This is a high-volume Level II Trauma Center with 53 ED beds and 8 fast-track beds. The department sees approximately 77,000 patients annually and averages approximately 192 patients per day.
