Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) - Critical Care

An acute care staffing organization is seeking a Critical Care NP/PA in Atlanta, Georgia for a high-acuity ICU environment. The role involves collaborating with attending physicians to provide evidence-based care to critically ill patients while performing advanced assessments, documentation, and procedures.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Night shift
• Schedule: 3, 12-hour shifts weekly
• Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Setting: Inpatient ICU

Responsibilities:

• Manage critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Collaborate with attending physicians on dynamic plans of care throughout the shift
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions
• Complete order entry and documentation in Cerner EMR, including histories and physicals, consultations, follow-up notes, and procedure notes
• Interpret diagnostic testing, communicate with ICU nursing staff, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds
• Perform invasive procedures, including central line and arterial line insertions, in accordance with hospital credentialing standards

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Acute care certification required for Nurse Practitioner candidates
• Minimum of 1-2 years of ICU experience as an advanced practice provider
• Experience performing central line and arterial line insertions
• Ability to meet hospital procedural credentialing requirements, including case log submission

Desired Skills:

• Experience working in a multi-specialty medical-surgical ICU
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Experience working in a collaborative, high-acuity critical care environment
