Join a supportive, mission-driven Emergency Medicine team at Davis Medical Center in Elkins, WV—a scenic, community-centered town just 2 hours from Pittsburgh. This is an ideal role for experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants looking for stability, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to make a difference in a rural setting.

We are seeking
experienced Emergency Medicine APPs to join our growing team. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced ED with a collaborative team of physicians and advanced practice providers.

  • ED Volume: 23,409 annual visits (~64 per day)
  • ED Beds: 21
  • ICU Beds: 9
  • Trauma Designation: Level IV
  • Admission Rate: ~8%
  • EMR: Paragon
  • APP Shifts: Mix of day and night shifts; 12-hour shifts
  • Model: Team-based coverage with physician oversight

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a Level IV Trauma Center.
• Collaborate with physicians in a team-based emergency department model.
• Participate in patient admissions and discharges, with a current admission rate of approximately 8%.
• Utilize Paragon EMR to document and manage patient care.
• Serve the medical needs of a rural, underserved population with compassion and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Minimum of 1 year Emergency Medicine experience preferred
Comfortable managing a variety of acuity levels

Working Hours

12-hour shifts

Skills

• Strong clinical judgment in high-acuity situations.
• Team-oriented approach and effective communication with Physicians and hospital staff.
• Comfort working in a rural emergency setting with a diverse patient population.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Paragon.
