We are seeking an experienced Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity with a Level I Trauma Center in South Carolina. This assignment offers a mix of day shifts, night shifts, and weekend call coverage within a high-acuity trauma surgery environment.

Position Details

Schedule

Shift options may include:

• 6a–2p

• 6a–6p

• 6p–6a

• Weekend call coverage

Weekend coverage may include:

• 24-hour call shifts

• Evening/night coverage as needed

Providers able to consistently cover weekday daytime shifts are highly preferred.

Practice Setting

• Level I Trauma Center

• Hospital-based trauma surgery service

• Float pool coverage across affiliated facilities

• Fast-paced acute care environment

Clinical Responsibilities

• Trauma surgery inpatient coverage

• Acute patient management and rounding

• Collaboration with trauma surgeons and multidisciplinary teams

• Day, night, and weekend trauma support as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina PA license required at time of submission

• ACLS or ATLS certification required

• Trauma surgery experience strongly preferred

• Ability to work independently in a high-volume acute care setting

• Additional hours beyond scheduled shifts must receive prior approval
