A full-time locum tenens opportunity is available for an experienced Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. This role offers a steady weekday schedule with no call responsibilities, supporting a high-volume outpatient dermatology practice. The provider will primarily work in Clifton Springs, with occasional coverage at an affiliated dermatology clinic within the regional health system. This position is well-suited for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing a diverse range of dermatologic conditions.
About the facility
This position is based within an acute care hospital that is part of a large, established regional healthcare system in upstate New York. The dermatology department is supported by a collaborative clinical team and utilizes Epic as its electronic medical record system. Providers benefit from structured workflows and strong clinical support staff.

Job Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient dermatology care
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of skin conditions
- Perform dermatologic procedures within scope of practice
- Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 25–35 patients
- Accurately document patient encounters using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
- Provide coverage at a secondary dermatology location as needed
Qualifications
- Board Certified Physician Assistant
- Active New York license (required at time of submission)
- Minimum of 3 years of recent dermatology experience
- Recent Epic EMR experience required
- Current BLS certification
- Consistent work history with no gaps exceeding 30 days
Working Hours
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- No call requirements
- Full-time locum assignment (approximately 26 weeks, July through January)
