Position Summary

The facility is seeking a Dermatology Physician Assistant to join its expanding Dermatology team in Bronx, New York . This is a full-time opportunity. The role focuses on providing high-quality dermatologic care by evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients with a variety of skin conditions while collaborating closely with supervising dermatologists to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered treatment.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including detailed medical histories and skin examinations.

  • Diagnose and manage common dermatologic conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, fungal infections, and skin lesions.

  • Perform dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal, and other minor in-office procedures within scope of practice.

  • Assist dermatologists in identifying and managing complex skin conditions including skin cancers and chronic dermatologic diseases.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including pathology reports and laboratory studies when necessary.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.

  • Provide medication management including topical, oral, and injectable dermatologic therapies.

  • Educate patients on skin health, preventive care, treatment adherence, and lifestyle modifications.

  • Assist with cosmetic dermatology procedures if applicable, such as chemical peels or other non-invasive treatments.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications

Education:
Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Certification:
National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required.

Licensure:
Active or eligible Physician Assistant license in New York.

DEA registration (or eligibility).

Experience:
Prior experience in dermatology or a related specialty preferred.

New graduates with strong clinical training and interest in dermatology are encouraged to apply.
