Trauma & Acute Care Surgery APP (PA-C or AGACNP)
Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) to join our growing Trauma & Acute Care Surgery (TACS) team at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Gainesville, a verified ACS-COT Level I Trauma Center.

Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Team
- Work alongside eight fellowship-trained, double board-certified Trauma and Acute Care Surgeons
- Supported by 11 Advanced Practice Providers providing 24/7 in-house coverage
- 7-on/7-off schedule with day shifts only
- Dedicated 32-bed Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Unit
Key Responsibilities
- Daily patient rounds and care coordination
- Family communication and patient education
- Collaboration with nursing, case management, and multidisciplinary teams
- Discharge planning and transitions of care
- Participation in outreach efforts with regional hospitals and EMS partners
Qualifications
Required
- Board-certified Physician Assistant through NCCPA or
- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) certification
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- ATLS certification or ability to obtain as required
