Job Title: ACNP / PA-C – Neurocritical Care & Neurosurgery ICU

Position Overview
GHR Healthcare is seeking experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) or Physician Assistants (PA-C) to support a high-acuity Neurocritical Care & Neurosurgery ICU team. This opportunity is driven by recent staffing shortages due to maternity leaves and a resignation, creating an immediate need for skilled ICU providers.
Clinical Setting
- 12-bed Neuro ICU
- Neuro floor coverage
- APP-driven service model
- EMR: Epic
Schedule
- 13-hour shifts
- Days: 5:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Nights: 5:30 PM – 6:30 AM
- Mix of days, nights, and weekends
- 1–2 weekend shifts per month
- Self-scheduling model
Patient Load
- ICU: ~6 patients per provider
- Floor (if applicable): up to 12–14 patients
Key Responsibilities
- Provide critical care management in a Neuro ICU setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
- Perform procedures as needed (preferred but not required):
- Central line placement
- Arterial line placement
- Bronchoscopy (team-supported)
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care
Qualifications
Required:
- Certified ACNP or PA-C
- ICU experience (required)
Preferred:
- Trauma and/or Neuro ICU experience
- Procedural experience (lines, airway support, etc.)
Team Environment
- Always staffed with at least two providers (no solo coverage)
- Highly collaborative, APP-led model
