Job description
A dynamic Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team in the Rocky Mountains is seeking a full-time Nocturnist APP, to play a key role in providing advanced overnight surgical and trauma care within one of Colorado’s leading high-acuity medical centers.
  • Provide full-spectrum trauma and acute care surgical services during overnight shifts.
  • Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery, and inpatient care.
  • Perform evaluations, develop care plans, and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Assist trauma surgeons with procedures, resuscitation, and operative support.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
  • Maintain all documentation and clinical workflows in Epic EMR.
  • Practice autonomously and handle multiple complex tasks appropriately.
  • Support quality, safety, and performance metrics of the Trauma Surgery service.
  • Engage in professional development and potential leadership opportunities
  • Must have two (2) years of trauma surgery experience or the completion of a surgical fellowship.
Compensation and Benefits:
    • Annual salary ranges from $136,822 to $179,379, based on experience
    • Eligible to earn up to $10,000 annually through the Quality Value Incentive Plan (QVIP)

Qualifications

-Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner program with a Master’s degree
NCCPA Certified 
-Most recent NPDB Self Query Report 
-Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado (Or ability to obtain)
-Must be eligible for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider status 
-Clean malpractice/license history preferred
-BLS Certification
-Experience: 2 years of trauma surgery preferred OR completion of surgical fellowship (Preferred)
