Locum CTICU Physician Assistant | Wynnewood, PA (Philadelphia Area) | 12-Hr Days or Nights | No Call | Drive-In Travel Covered

Med Ninjas is looking for an experienced Critical Care Physician Assistant to cover a Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, just outside Philadelphia. The assignment starts January 18, 2027. You'll work 12-hour day or night shifts with no call on a 32-bed CT surgery unit with intensivist support. For drive-in candidates, the client covers lodging plus either mileage or a rental car.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, days or nights
• Days: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Nights: 6:30 PM – 6:00 AM
• PRN coverage
• No call

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage post-operative cardiothoracic surgery patients in the ICU and step-down unit
• Place central lines
• Manage ECMO patients
• Work with in-house intensivists during the day
• Cover the unit at night with an intensivist available from home
• Document in Epic

You Must Have

• NCCPA board certification
• Active Pennsylvania PA license. The client won't consider candidates who still need to get licensed.
• Active DEA
• CTICU or cardiothoracic critical care experience
• Hands-on experience placing central lines and managing ECMO
• Comfort covering nights with the intensivist on call from home

Credentialing

Be ready to provide:

• Current CV and professional photo
• Complete education, training, and work history (gaps over 30 days need a short explanation)
• Hospital affiliations and malpractice history for the past 10 years
• At least 3 recent, clinically relevant peer references
• An up-to-date, attested CAQH profile
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
• Criminal background check and FBI fingerprinting

Travel & Logistics

• Drive-in candidates only
• The client covers lodging plus either mileage or a rental car

Compensation

Competitive hourly pay, plus overtime and holiday pay. Your Med Ninjas recruiter will go over rates with you.
