We are seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant with ICU experience for a daytime locum opportunity. This position offers a 7-on/7-off schedule in a collaborative ICU environment managing critically ill adult patients.
Assignment Details
- Day shift coverage
- 7-on / 7-off schedule available
- Local candidates only
Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 12-hour day shifts
- 7-on / 7-off rotation available
Practice Setting
- Multi-specialty Medical-Surgical Community Hospital
- Intensive Care Unit
- Cerner EMR
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform daily patient assessments
- Develop and adjust treatment plans with attending physicians
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds
- Interpret diagnostic studies
- Complete order entry and documentation
Documentation
- History & Physicals
- Consultations
- Progress and follow-up notes
- Procedure notes
Procedures Required
- Central line insertions
- Vascath placement
- Introducer placement
- Arterial line insertions
Patient Volume
- Typical ratio of 10–15 ICU patients per APP
- Attending physician support available
Requirements
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant
- NP candidates must be Acute Care Certified
- Active state and national licensure
- Minimum 1–2 years of ICU APP experience
- Proficiency with central and arterial line placement
- Case logs required during credentialing
