Job description
Critical Care PA – Day Shift in GA
Practice Setting
Multi-specialty medical/surgical community hospital ICU
Work alongside attending intensivists delivering high-acuity, evidence-based critical care
Schedule
-
Full-Time: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
-
Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
-
Shift: Day Shift with opportunity for OT
-
Typical APP-to-patient ratio: 10–15 ICU patients per provider
-
Attending MD always available for support
Responsibilities
-
Manage critically ill ICU patients in a high-acuity environment

Perform and document:
-
H&Ps, consults, daily progress & event notes, procedure notes
-
-
Enter orders and document in Cerner EMR
-
Interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
-
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds each shift
-
Perform invasive ICU procedures in accordance with MSO credentialing
Procedures Required
-
Central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths, introducers)
-
Arterial line insertions
Qualifications
-
PA or ACNP with active national & state licensure
-
1–2+ years ICU APP experience required
-
Proven proficiency with central and arterial line placement
