Locum Cardiology NP/PA
Position Type: Locum; Locum-to-Perm Considered
Specialty: Physician - Cardiology
Location: Jackson, MI
Shift: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, Sunday–Saturday; 7 days on / 7 days off
Start Date: January 4, 2027, or as soon as credentialed
Position Details: 2 weeks per month; approximately 20–25 patients on the inpatient list; 80% inpatient and 20% outpatient; no overnight shifts or on-call duties; credentialing takes approximately 90–120 days
Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
Setting: Inpatient/hospital-based cardiology, with some outpatient care; Level II Trauma Center
Responsibilities: Manage follow-up patients on the inpatient cardiology rounding service, assist physicians with inpatient rounds, provide discharge instructions, and manage post-procedure care
Required Procedures: No specific procedures required
EMR System: Epic
Days Per Month: Approximately 14 days per month
On-Call/Weekends: Weekend coverage required; no on-call or overnight shifts
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified - Required
- Active Michigan license at the time of name clear - Required
- AHA ACLS and BLS; clean background with no malpractice or license issues - Required
