Cardiology APP Opportunity | Starting January 2027
Protean Med is seeking 2 experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for a hospital-based opportunity in Jackson, Michigan. This role focuses primarily on inpatient cardiology rounding, post-procedure care, and patient discharge management.
Location: Jackson, Michigan
Position Type: Locum / Locum-to-Perm Considered
Start Date: January 2027
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
Shift: Sunday–Saturday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Call: No on-call or overnight shifts
Position Highlights

Inpatient-focused cardiology service with some outpatient responsibilities

Average daily volume of 20–25 patients

Work alongside cardiologists on inpatient rounds

Manage follow-up patients, discharge instructions, and post-procedure care

Epic EMR
-
Level II trauma center
-
Adult and geriatric patient population
Requirements
-
Board Certified NP or PA
-
Minimum 3 years of cardiology experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Active Michigan license required at submission

Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications

Clean background with no malpractice or license issues

Acute Care training preferred

Epic experience preferred
Credentialing: Approximately 90–120 days.
