Full Time | Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Position Highlights:
Join an established hospital-based General Surgery practice
Focus on General Surgery and Metabolic/Bariatric Surgery
Surgical team includes 11 Surgeons and 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians
Bariatric team includes 3 Surgeons and 1 Advanced Practice Clinician
Primarily operating room responsibilities
First assist on complex surgical cases requiring an additional clinician
Some outpatient clinic responsibilities
Participate in call coverage
Academic health system with a strong teaching environment
Clear leadership pathways for Advanced Practice Clinicians
Virtual scribe and inbox support available
Hospital-employed position
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
National certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Active or eligible New York license
BLS certification
Active DEA registration
Extensive surgical and inpatient hospital experience required
General Surgery or Bariatric Surgery experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary of $123,000-$140,000
Additional performance-based compensation
Sign-on bonus up to $50,000
