Locums | Neurosurgery PA | New Port Richey/Clearwater, FL (active FL license required; location to be confirmed)
Why This Role
Monday–Thursday overnight schedule
Adult patients only
Four neurosurgeons and four APPs
Temporary privileges available
Ongoing coverage
Assignment Details
Dates: As soon as credentialed–ongoing
Schedule: In-house Monday–Thursday, 9 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
Coverage type: Overnight neurosurgery coverage; additional beeper-call expectations to be confirmed
Volume: Approximately 10 patients per shift
Setting: Primarily inpatient coverage; outpatient setting also listed
Rounding: Assigned and unassigned patients
Support: Four neurosurgeons, four APPs, one RN, one MA, and three office staff
EMR: Cerner
Credentialing: Up to 120 days; expedited timeframe to be confirmed
Clinical Details
Adult neurosurgery coverage
Assigned- and unassigned-patient rounding
Specific operative and bedside procedure requirements to be confirmed
No admissions, APP supervision, or resident teaching required
Requirements
Board-certified Physician Assistant
Active Florida PA license
Minimum one year of neurosurgery APP experience
ACLS and BLS
Availability for the Monday–Thursday overnight schedule
Local candidates preferred
