Locums | Neonatology APP (NP or PA) | Hershey, PA (any state license accepted or IMLC) Why This Role

  • Any state license accepted (PA obtained during credentialing) or IMLC
  • NP or PA eligible (PA license preferred)
  • No call
  • APP-led daily care in a Level IV NICU
  • Multiple openings (4), through Dec 2027 — locums-to-perm potential
Assignment Details Start/end: ASAP through 12/31/2027; 6 shifts/month (must block time, specify open dates) Schedule: Mostly nights and weekends (a few day shifts possible; no day-only locums). Weekdays — day 7a-5p, evening/night 4p-8a; weekends — day 7a-7p, evening/night 7p-7a; 24-hour shifts available any day Coverage type: Inpatient neonatology Volume: ~10 patients/shift; 56 beds; 5-6 APPs on day shift, 3 on evenings/nights/weekends Setting: Level 1 trauma; Level IV 56-bed NICU with very high acuity; APPs oversee daily care in collaboration with MDs Support: 20-22 RNs, 2-3 PA/NPs, 1 office staff EMR: Cerner Credentialing: 60-120 days Clinical Details Required scope: Oversee daily care of NICU babies as the provider; PICC/UVC/UAC lines, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, intubations; ground and air transport (transport orientation required) Must be able to do ground and air transport Requirements Board certified NP or PA (PA license preferred; will review candidates who've started the PA application with the right skill set) Required skills: PICC/UVC/UAC lines, chest tubes, LPs, intubations; ground and air transport License: any state accepted or IMLC BLS, PALS Active DEA Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
