### Locums | Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgery NP or PA | Billings, MT (Active Montana APP License Required Before Start) ### Why This Role Join a busy cardiovascular surgery practice as a long-term locums bridge. This position offers a varied mix of operating room assistance, hospital rounding, outpatient follow-ups, and shared weekend call. ### Assignment Details

  • Start: As soon as credentialed
  • Coverage: Ongoing
  • Initial commitment: 3‚Äì6 months
  • Scheduled clinical hours plus beeper call
  • Inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Approximately 10 patients per shift
  • Cerner EMR
  • Hospital privileges required
  • No temporary privileges available
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days ###
Clinical Responsibilities Assist cardiovascular surgeons in the operating room Round on assigned hospital patients Provide clinic coverage as needed Manage predominantly vascular surgery clinic visits Provide cardiothoracic postoperative follow-up care Collaborate with five APPs, five RNs, and supporting office staff ### Call Details At least one weekend of call per month Beeper call Call rotation: Approximately 1:5 Required response time: 20 minutes Estimated callback rate: 15% Approximately two phone consults and two patients seen during call ### Requirements Certified or board-eligible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, as applicable Cardiothoracic, cardiovascular, or vascular surgery experience Active Montana NP or PA license required before the assignment begins Active BLS certification Ability to obtain hospital privileges Comfortable assisting in the OR, rounding, providing clinic coverage, and taking weekend call Able to commit for at least 3–6 months
