Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - Kinston, NC Level 1 Nursery | Full-Time & Per Diem ### The Opportunity Seeking certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to join a highly educated and trained team of physicians (pediatricians and consulting neonatologists) and nurses dedicated to providing excellent care to newborns. This position offers flexibility, with a manageable daily census and ample remote support from experienced MDs. Both full-time and per diem openings available. ### Schedule
- 7 days on / 7 days off (adjustable based on candidate experience)
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Overnight call covered by other providers ### Responsibilities
- Serve as primary caregiver in the Level 1 Nursery for newborn infants
- Assess and diagnose newborn infants
- Prescribe medication independently with supervising physician agreement
- Educate and support parents and guardians in newborn care
- Order and perform medical tests and procedures
- Work independently with remote MD support
- Prepare for transfer to local Level 2–3 NICUs as needed
- Neonatal intubations and central line placements highly sought after and preferred ### Qualifications
- Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
- L&D, Nursery, or Pediatric NP work experience required
- Ability to work independently with remote supervising physician oversight ### Compensation & Benefits
