## Neurosurgery Physician Assistant opening | Ocala, FL North-Central Florida — 40 Miles from Gainesville, 80 Miles from Orlando ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent employed position * Schedule: 3 operative days per week and 2 outpatient clinic days per week — shared call responsibilities * Autonomy: High level of autonomy managing a wide range of neurosurgical cases and procedures — experienced providers preferred * Setting: Inpatient and outpatient — Level I Trauma Center and comprehensive stroke center * Prior neurosurgical experience preferred — prior surgical experience required ## Practice Overview Seeking an experienced Neurosurgery PA to join a well-established, comprehensive neurosurgery team in north-central Florida: * Work alongside 4 neurosurgeons, 4 APPs, 2 neurointerventionalists, and 2 neurohospitalists * Hospital duties: Manage busy neurosurgery service, participate in 3 operative days per week (20% cranial / 80% spine), and perform bedside neuro-ICU and neurosurgical trauma procedures * Outpatient clinic: 2 days per week * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in neuro-ICU, neuro-step down unit, and neuro floor * Level I Trauma Center with comprehensive stroke program and full neuro-ICU support * Opportunity to engage in operative, procedural, and clinic-based patient care ## Compensation & Benefits * Competitive compensation * Comprehensive and flexible benefits program * PTO and CME time and allowance * Occurrence-based malpractice coverage * Strong support system for clinical practice ## Required Qualifications * Physician Assistant — licensed or eligible in Florida — required * Prior surgical experience — required * Prior neurosurgical experience — preferred * Florida PA license or willingness to obtain ## About the Community – Ocala, Florida * Charming north-central Florida city known as the "Horse Capital of the World" * Affordable cost of living with excellent schools and family-friendly communities * Abundant outdoor recreation including Silver Springs State Park, Ocala National Forest, and world-class equestrian activities * 40 miles from Gainesville and the University of Florida * 80 miles from Orlando — easy access to theme parks, international airport, and metropolitan amenities * Warm, sunny Florida climate with year-round outdoor activities * No state income tax in Florida
