Job Responsibilities
As a Physician Assistant in Aviation Medicine, you’ll provide a full spectrum of care for a unique patient population, combining primary care, occupational health, and flight medicine responsibilities. Your role will include:
Delivering comprehensive care—routine, acute, and chronic conditions.
Performing aviation-specific evaluations, physicals, and aeromedical dispositions.
Supporting flight medicine, operational medicine, and occupational health clinics.
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests; coordinating specialty referrals.
Providing preventive and health maintenance care, including education and counseling.
Performing procedures such as sutures, biopsies, I&Ds, intubations, splinting, and more.
Serving as a Primary Care Manager (PCM) for assigned patients.
Training, mentoring, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
You’ll play a vital role in optimizing the health and readiness of our nation’s Airmen while practicing at the top of your license in a rewarding, mission-driven environment.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program.
Certification as an Aviation Physician Assistant (completion of AMP 101/201/202/301 or equivalent).
NCCPA certified and actively licensed.
At least 36 months of PA experience (18–24 in Family Health preferred).
Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
Ability to obtain a Government background check/security clearance.
Work-Life Balance
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (one-hour lunch break)
No nights, weekends, or on-call duties

Working Hours
The work schedule shall be between 0700 and 1700, Monday through Friday, to include a one-hour uncompensated meal break, as determined by the clinical department.
