Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP/FNP) – Outpatient OB/GYN

Overview:
A well-established healthcare system in upstate New York is seeking a full-time Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join a collaborative outpatient OB/GYN practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced OB/GYN physicians, certified nurse midwives, and a strong clinical support team in a patient-centered women’s health setting.
Location:
Plattsburgh is located in the scenic Champlain Valley region of upstate New York, offering access to Lake Champlain, the Adirondack Mountains, and outdoor recreation year-round. Practice Setting:
This outpatient women’s health practice provides comprehensive OB/GYN care to a diverse patient population. The team-based model emphasizes collaboration, continuity of care, and evidence-based clinical practice in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
Position Highlights
• Full-time outpatient Women’s Health NP role
• Provide comprehensive women’s health care including preventive visits, prenatal/postpartum care, contraception counseling, and management of gynecologic conditions
• Perform in-office procedures such as Pap/HPV testing, IUD/implant insertion and removal, and endometrial biopsies
• Work closely with OB/GYN physicians, midwives, nurses, and medical assistants in a collaborative care model
• Focus on patient education, continuity of care, and quality improvement initiatives
• Utilize EMR for documentation and care coordination
Candidate Profile
• Nurse Practitioner with MSN or DNP and active New York license
• National board certification required (WHNP preferred; FNP with strong women’s health experience considered)
• Experience in outpatient OB/GYN or women’s health strongly preferred
• Comfortable performing common women’s health procedures and managing diverse patient needs
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach
Compensation & Benefits
• Competitive salary range: $125,000 – $155,000 based on experience
