Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Urology

Overview

• Full-Time, Monday-Friday (8:30 AM-5:00 PM)
• Practice has 13 urologists and strong support for an incoming APP provider to be successful
• For Kingston and New Windsor locations, providers do round in mornings at local hospital
• Recent transition to Athena EMR piloting AI capabilities for note taking
• Outpatient care primarily
• Salary range: $120,000-$150,000
• Reports to the Practice Director

Rounding Responsibilities for Kingston and New Windsor

• New Windsor: Morning rounding from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by seeing patients in the office.

Weekends approximately every 2-4 weeks (FROM HOME)

• Weekend Call: Begins Friday at 5:00 PM and ends Monday at 8:00 AM.
• Weekend Coverage: APPs will handle calls from patients at home. Other calls will be managed by the physicians.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Active New York State NP or PA license
• 2-5 years of clinical experience preferred, but will consider 1 year
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Experience with EMR documentation and patient-centered care
