We are seeking a motivated and clinically strong PA or NP to join a dynamic urology team serving diverse patient populations in the Bronx. This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic care, inpatient rounding, procedural support, and pre/post-operative management within a collaborative surgical environment in New York.
Ideal for providers interested in genitourinary medicine, minimally invasive procedures, and surgical first-assist experience. Strong mentorship available, and new graduates with solid surgical rotations are encouraged to apply. Competitive compensation and full benefits package offered.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform detailed histories, physical exams, and clinical assessments
• Order and interpret urinalysis, labs, and imaging studies
• Assist with in-office procedures (catheter placement, cystoscopy support, bladder scans)
• First-assist in surgical procedures (PA scope where permitted)
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care
• Participate in inpatient rounds and hospital consult coverage as needed
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice
• Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment plans, and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
• Support quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
Qualifications
• PA: Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• NP: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (Adult, Family, or Acute Care)
Licensure/Certification:
• Active New York State PA or NP License
• National Certification (NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC)
• DEA registration with prescriptive authority
• BLS and ACLS required
Experience:
• 1–2 years of urology or surgical specialty experience preferred
• New graduates with strong surgical or urology rotations considered
