- Setting: On-site urgent care / acute care clinic
- Location: San Antonio, TX 78238
- Start Date: 10/15/2026
- End Date: 10/14/2027
- Duration: 52 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,260 - $3,870
- Schedule: Flexible 7-, 8-, and 15-hour shifts across all 7 days of the week
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- EMR: Practice Velocity
- Openings: 2 positions available
Job Responsibilities
Provide high-quality urgent care and acute care services for patients across the San Antonio market
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute and urgent conditions
Deliver compassionate care to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients
Support coverage across multiple urgent care clinic locations as needed
Collaborate with the care team to help maintain efficient patient flow and clinical support
Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the EMR
Adapt to a dynamic locum tenens schedule and contribute to weekend coverage
Qualifications
Active Texas Nurse Practitioner license
Active Texas DEA
Minimum 3 years of experience in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room care
Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med-Peds
Work Comp experience preferred
DOT certification helpful
Comfort treating pediatric patients 3 months and older
Ability to float between clinic locations within the assigned region
Availability for weekend shifts
