A rapidly growing medical practice is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (FNP/AGNP) to join its urgent care team in the Greater Philadelphia area.
This is a fast-paced, walk-in urgent care environment providing treatment for acute illnesses, minor injuries, pediatric concerns, occupational health needs, routine physicals, and non-emergent primary care.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries
Perform histories and physical examinations
Order and interpret labs and imaging
Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
Provide COVID-19 evaluations/testing
Perform occupational, school, and sports physicals
Manage routine primary care concerns
Educate patients and coordinate referrals/follow-up
Document encounters accurately in the EMR
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff
Support efficient patient flow in a high-volume setting
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited NP program
Current unrestricted NP license
Current national NP certification, such as FNP or applicable AGNP
Current BLS
Urgent care, emergency medicine, family practice, acute care, or outpatient experience preferred
Strong autonomous clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Experience with acute illness, minor trauma, diagnostics, and medication management
Strong communication and patient-care skills
EMR proficiency
Schedule
Full-time
On-site
Flexible scheduling based on clinic needs
Extended hours, weekends, and holidays required
ACLS/PALS strongly preferred
