Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Urgent Care
Maine | 3x12.5-Hour Shifts | No Call | Immediate Opening

We're seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join a high-volume urgent care team providing exceptional walk-in care to patients of all ages. This is an excellent opportunity for providers who enjoy autonomy, fast-paced clinical environments, and procedural medicine while maintaining a predictable schedule.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries
• Provide care for pediatric and adult patients
• Perform suturing, splinting, incision & drainage, wound care, women's health exams, and other urgent care procedures
• Order and interpret X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory testing
• Develop treatment plans and determine appropriate referrals or transfers
• Document patient encounters using Experity EMR with AI-assisted charting
• Collaborate with clinical and support staff to deliver outstanding patient care

Schedule

• Three 12.5-hour shifts per week
• Approximately 37.5 hours weekly
• Clinic hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Four weekend shifts per month
• No call
• One clinic per shift (no mid-shift travel)
• Regional floating with advance scheduling
• Assignment anticipated for 3–4 months with extension potential

Qualifications

• Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
• Active Maine APRN license preferred
• Active unrestricted DEA
• Current BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience
• Comfortable treating all ages
• Strong procedural skills including suturing, splinting, I&D, and wound care
• Experience with Experity or similar EMR preferred
