Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our fast-paced Urgent Care team in North East Houston. This is a PRN 1099 role. This role requires a highly skilled, independent clinician who can provide exceptional care to patients of all ages while collaborating with a supervising physician as needed. Job Responsibilities
Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate appropriate treatment plans.
Provide patient education and follow-up care instructions.
Collaborate with the on-call physician by phone as necessary.
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Administer medications and immunizations as appropriate.
Ensure adherence to clinic policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Qualifications
DEA registration required.
Current BLS and PALS certifications.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
Experience treating patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric.
Excellent communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills.
Working Hours
Summer Weekend Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Saturdays & Sundays)
Skills
Ability to manage acute and chronic conditions in a timely manner.
Comfortable with minor procedures and wound care.
Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
