Michigan Urgent Care- Locum

Locum Tenens – Express Care NP/PA (Upper Peninsula of Michigan)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in an outpatient express care setting in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider comfortable working independently in a well-supported clinic environment.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: ASAP (orientation required prior to first shift)
• Duration: Ongoing coverage due to provider vacancy
• Schedule: 7 days per week coverage needed
• Shift Structure: Block scheduling available (week-long assignments)
• Setting: Outpatient Express Care / Urgent Care
• Patient Volume: 14–28 patients per day

Practice Environment:

• Solo provider coverage with support staff
• Support includes:
  • 1 Medical Assistant
  • 1 Front office staff
• No inpatient responsibilities
• No admissions required
• No supervision responsibilities

Requirements:

• Board Certified NP or PA
• Active Michigan license (required at time of submission)
• Active DEA and controlled substance license
• Current BLS certification
• Recent clinical experience (within last 12 months)

Additional Details:

• EMR: Athena
• Credentialing timeframe: ~30 days (expedited options may be available)
• Temporary privileges possible
• Onsite orientation required prior to first shift

• Travel covered
• Lodging provided (facility housing preferred when available)
