Urgent Care APP – Locum Tenens
Location: Northern North Carolina
Employment Type: Locum Tenens
Work Setting: Outpatient Urgent Care Clinic (In-person)
Start Date: January 2026
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide urgent care coverage at a busy outpatient clinic in Northern North Carolina. This locum assignment offers consistent scheduling, strong clinical support, and the opportunity to treat patients of all ages in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform required procedures including:
Foreign body removal
Suturing
Incision & drainage (I&Ds)
Casting and DME fitting
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with the onsite care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Board Certified – Required
- Comfortable with urgent care procedures and high patient volume
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Working Hours
- Occasional weekend coverage
- No call
- Average daily volume: 35–40 patients
Skills
- Hourly Rate: Up to $100/hr
