Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner Position in Oregon

Opportunity Overview

• 6-month approval period for gap coverage.

• Full-time, 1.0 FTE, with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

• Works alongside a physician.

• 36-bed facility.

• EPIC EMR.

Schedule & Coverage

• ASAP start, with the first day reserved for orientation.

• Clinic hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

• Approximately 6 call shifts per month.

• Call options:

  • Weekday 10-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM or 5:00 PM–7:00 AM (beeper call).

  • Weekday 24-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM.

  • Weekend 24-hour call.

• Providers starting at 7:00 AM must arrive for handoff and rounding.

• Current coverage gaps:

  • October 3–4: 24-hour coverage

  • October 26: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM

  • November 25: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM

  • November 26–29: 24-hour coverage

  • December 24: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM

  • December 31: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM

Clinical Details

• Vascular and endovascular surgery.

• Inpatient rounding and admissions.

• First assist in the operating room.

• Assist with in-clinic procedures.

• Approximately 15–20 patients per day.

Requirements

• NP or PA with appropriate licensure.

• Oregon license preferred for earlier coverage dates; non-Oregon candidates may be considered for later dates.

• BLS and ACLS from AHA or American Red Cross, as applicable.

• Documentation of training and competency for surgical first assist.

• Case logs for surgical cases from the past 24 months, including the level of assistance and surgeon verification.

• NP first-assist applicants must provide procedure counts and primary operator contact information.

• Credentialing and privileges required for the requested scope of practice.
