Tucson Medical Center is seeking a motivated and clinically strong Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our Vascular Surgery team in an inpatient-only role.
This APP will support a group of five vascular surgeons, providing care to hospitalized patients before and after vascular surgery procedures, evaluating inpatient medical and vascular consults, expediting discharges, and coordinating follow-up care.
This position is ideal for an APP who enjoys working in a high-acuity surgical environment and collaborating closely with surgeons, nursing, case management, and multidisciplinary care teams.
Job Responsibilities
• Round on hospitalized vascular surgery patients
• Assist with perioperative patient management
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care
• Collaborate with vascular surgeons and hospital teams
• Support inpatient vascular surgery services
Qualifications
• Arizona NP license (or eligibility)
• DEA certification
• CPR certification
• ACLS certification
• Prior acute care, inpatient surgical, critical care, vascular, cardiothoracic, or hospital-based experience preferred
• New graduate ACNPs may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Working Hours
• Monday-Friday
• 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• No call
• Inpatient only
