Locum Nurse Practitioner - Cardiothoracic Surgery
Position Type: Locum

Shift: Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM; floor call/beeper 3 PM-7 AM; Saturday and Sunday 24-hour onsite support with floor call or OR call
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
Setting: Inpatient/Hospital-Based
Responsibilities: Postoperative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients; emergency surgery support; take consults/referrals from the ED, Cath Lab, and hospital providers; assist in surgery; write prescriptions; coordinate care; round; interpret tests; order tests; vein harvesting.
Required Procedures: Vein harvesting; retrieval of vascular tissues for use as a bypass conduit; assistance in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.
EMR System: Epic
Days Per Month: 1-2 weeks of coverage per month
On-Call/Weekends: Yes; in-house and beeper/phone call. Weekend 24-hour onsite support and floor call or OR call.
Submission Requirements:
- Board certified in Vascular Surgery and active Ohio or compact license
- Active ACLS and DEA
- Clean background with no malpractice or license issues
