Facility:
This is a well-established healthcare facility providing comprehensive vascular surgical services to the community. The hospital features advanced medical technology and a collaborative work environment with supportive surgical teams committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Opportunity:
NP/PA - Surgery - Vascular
Job Details:
• Temporary position covering a leave of absence (ASAP - 3 months minimum)
• Schedule varies - must be willing to work days, nights, evenings, and weekends
• Call schedule includes 1-2 days per week, overnight emergency OR call taken from home
• Inpatient only setting (no clinic) with service census of approximately 15-20 patients
• Rounds on 3-5 patients daily using Epic EMR system
• Works autonomously with supervising surgeon available
• Primarily serves adult/geriatric patient population
• Required duties include: suture removal, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests
• Additional responsibilities include: assisting in surgery, writing prescriptions, coordination of care, rounding, and pre-op physical exams
• Must perform intraoperative 1st assisting and removal of dialysis catheters
• Required certifications: NCCPA or ANCC/AANP (NPs must have RNFA), BLS, ACLS
• Must have active NY State License at time of submission
• Prior vascular and/or cardiac surgery experience required as well as medical management expertise
• No new graduates will be considered
• Travel benefits include: flight reimbursement (home airport to SYR), hotel (up to $150/day), and rental car (up to $50/day)
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 1 month
• Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation (must be pulled within same month as submission)
• Full-time availability only

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
