Opportunity Overview
- Inpatient Neurosurgery APP needed for hospital coverage
- Pediatric patient population
- Full-time preferred, with a minimum of 2 weeks per month considered
- Hospital setting
- EPIC EMR
- Patient-care focused role; APPs do not participate in the OR
- Neurosurgery resident program provides OR support
Schedule & Coverage
- 3 × 13-hour shifts per week
- 6:00 AM-7:00 PM
- No nights
- No holidays
- Full-time coverage preferred
- Minimum 2 weeks per month may be considered
- First 8 hours of orientation are non-billable
- Local providers preferred
Clinical Details
- Inpatient Neurosurgery
- Begin the day rounding with residents and reviewing patient plans
- Review and enter orders
- Evaluate patients who require assessment
- Manage orders and discharges
- Preferred experience removing Hemovac and JP drains
- APPs do not participate in the OR
Requirements
- PA or NP
- Board certification in Neurosurgery required
- Massachusetts license required
- Minimum 1 year of Neurosurgery experience
- EPIC experience preferred
- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days
- Willingness to obtain a license is not available for this position
- Travel support available for qualified providers
