Neurosurgery NP โ€“ Inpatient Role (7 On / 7 Off)
Schedule: 0630โ€“1830, 7 days on / 7 days off
Coverage: 100% Inpatient Floor (No OR / No Call)

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a strong background in neurosurgery to join our inpatient neurosurgical team. This role is strictly non-operative, focusing on the management of neurosurgical inpatients, including post-operative care and neurocritical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care to neurosurgical inpatients with varying acuity.

  • Manage patients in the MICU, SICU, and ED settings.

  • Collaborate with a team of 7 neurosurgeons.

  • Handle a case mix of cranial and spinal patients, typically ranging from 50/50 to variable splits based on surgical volume and patient needs.

Qualifications:

  • Must have extensive experience in neurosurgery, including inpatient management, post-op care, and ICU-level acuity.

  • Neurocritical care experience is required.

  • Strong clinical decision-making, autonomy, and teamwork skills are essential.

  • No OR coverage โ€“ this is a floor-only position.
