JOB OVERVIEW

- Shift Schedule: Saturday and Sunday; 8a – 4p; 2 weekends / month
- Reason for Coverage: Volume increase and leave coverage
- Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered
PATIENT INFORMATION
- Average Daily Volume: 15-25 clinic patients per day; inpatient census varies
- Case Mix: Surgical oncology, liver and pancreas
- Rounding: Included
FACILITY INFORMATION
- Specialty Backup Available: Surgeons available
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: Oncology, surgical oncology, GI or Hepatobiliary Surgery background
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform inpatient rounding on surgical patients, managing patient census.
- Conduct outpatient clinic visits including new patient surgical consults and post-operative follow-ups.
- Prepare and review patient charts prior to clinic visits.
- Collaborate with surgeons for patient management and treatment plans.
- Provide patient education and coordinate care.
