Trauma / Acute Care Surgery Nurse Practitioner
Assignment Details
Location: Bellingham, Washington
Provider Type: Nurse Practitioner
Specialty: Trauma / Acute Care Surgery
Practice Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient Clinic, and Hospital
Coverage Type: Scheduled Day Coverage / No Call
Start Date: ASAP
Expected Duration: Approximately 6 Months
Coverage Need: 3-4 Shifts Per Week
EMR: Epic
Compensation:
Hourly: $140/hr
Overtime: $175/hr
Schedule
3-4 Shifts Per Week
Current Shift Options: 6:30 AM-4:30 PM or 6:30 AM-6:30 PM
Standard Shift: 12 Hours
Schedule Expected to Include at Least 2 Weekdays Plus Weekend Coverage
Clinic Hours: Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 AM-4:30 PM
Regular Team May Cover Clinic if Locum Is Unable to Cover Clinic Schedule
No Call

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Coverage
Respond to Trauma Activations
Serve as Initial Trauma Responder When Trauma Surgeon Is in the Operating Room
Provide Initial Evaluation and Response in the Emergency Department
Perform Inpatient Rounding
Admit Patients to the Trauma / Acute Care Surgery Service
Manage Admissions to the ICU
Provide Surgical First Assist
Prepare for and Manage Post-Discharge Clinic
Provide Clinic Coverage as Scheduled
Clinical Environment / Support
Clinic and Hospital Privileges
Inpatient and Outpatient Setting
Provider May Work Independently at Times
Another APP May Be Available on Some Days

ACLS - Required
ATLS - Required
BLS and ACLS Must Be From AHA or American Red Cross as Applicable

Recent Clinical Activity Requirements
Documentation of Recent Clinical Activity From the Previous 24 Months Representative of the Scope and Complexity of Privileges Requested
Recent Clinical Activity Requirement May Be Waived for Candidates Who Completed Training Within the Previous Year
