Join a physician-led locum tenens team that understands what providers need to be successful. At ATC Locums, you’ll work directly with experienced physicians and recruiters who are committed to transparent communication, strong clinical partnerships, and exceptional provider support.
We’re seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide General Surgery coverage for an extended maternity leave assignment in Cookeville, Tennessee.
• End: October 23.
• Coverage while someone is out on materinity leave.
• Approximately 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
• 40 hours per week.
• No nights, no weekend call, and no overtime.
• Acute Care / Emergency General Surgery (EGS) service.
• Clinic, inpatient rounding, and surgical consults.
• Optional OR participation for providers who are interested.
• Evaluate 3–5 surgical consults per day.
• See 15–20 clinic patients per day.
• Clinic schedule is typically 1–2 days per week, with the remainder spent in the hospital.
• Active Tennessee NP or PA license required.
• General Surgery experience strongly preferred.
• BLS and DEA required.

• Monday–Friday.• Approximately 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
• 40 hours per week.
• No nights, no weekend call, and no overtime.
• Acute Care / Emergency General Surgery (EGS) service.
• Clinic, inpatient rounding, and surgical consults.

Daily Responsibilities
• Round on approximately 8–10 patients.• Evaluate 3–5 surgical consults per day.
• See 15–20 clinic patients per day.
• Clinic schedule is typically 1–2 days per week, with the remainder spent in the hospital.
Requirements
• Must reside in Tennessee.• Active Tennessee NP or PA license required.
• General Surgery experience strongly preferred.
• BLS and DEA required.
