• We are seeking an experienced Surgical NP/PA with robotics experience for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in Potsdam, NY.
• This role includes a mix of first assist in the OR and medical-surgical floor coverage.
• Work with a collaborative surgical team in a well-equipped hospital environment with advanced technology.
• Ideal for providers open to relocation and looking for consistent full-time coverage starting September.
• Opportunity for additional call shifts including weekends and weeknights for increased earning potential.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform intraoperative tasks such as suturing, cauterization, hemostasis, and wound closure
• Manage pre-op and post-op patient care including rounding, consults, and discharges
• Provide surgical floor coverage including documentation and order management
• Assist with patient positioning, suction, drainage, and irrigation during procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and nursing staff
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
Qualifications
• Active New York State License (Required)
• Board Certification (Required)
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and ATLS Certifications (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent surgical experience
• Robotics experience required (Mandatory)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Clean and updated work history with no gaps over 30 days
Working Hours
• Tuesday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call Opportunities:
• Weekend Call: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
• Weeknight Call: ~4 shifts/month (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekend Rounding: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
