Participate in robotic-assisted thoracic procedures, minimally invasive valves, aortic reconstructions, and complex cardiac surgeries. Job Responsibilities
• First assist in coronary artery bypass, valve, and thoracic surgeries
• Support robotic-assisted thoracic and minimally invasive procedures
• Perform emergent floor procedures (chest tube, arterial line insertions)
• Conduct daily rounds, discharge summaries, and weekend patient care
• Cover urgent walk-in and post-operative clinic needs
• Collaborate with surgeons, mid-level providers, and nursing staff
Qualifications
• 3+ years experience in cardiothoracic or cardiovascular surgery
• Active State NP license (or eligible)
• ACLS, BLS, DEA certification
• Strong clinical judgment and OR first-assist experience
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
Working Hours
• On-call every 6th night and weekend
• Typical weekday schedule: 07:00–15:00, may vary based on patient needs
