Job Responsibilities
• Assist in cardiac surgical procedures including first assist duties
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting
• Manage CVICU and post-operative cardiac patients
• Conduct inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic visits
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic testing
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
• Prescribe medications per regulatory guidelines
• Perform bedside procedures within scope
• Participate in rotating weekday and weekend call schedule
Qualifications
• Board Certification (ANCC or AANPCB)
• Minimum 3+ years cardiac or cardiovascular surgery experience
• ICU patient management experience required
• Endoscopic vein harvesting and first assist experience preferred
• Active Colorado NP License or eligibility
• Unrestricted DEA License
• BLS Certification (AHA)
• Full prescriptive authority
• Clean malpractice and sanction history
• Current NPDB Self-Query
Working Hours
• Monday–Friday OR & Clinic Rotation
• Rotating 1:4–5 Weekday & Weekend Call
• In-house night coverage support
