🚀 High-paying Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner opportunity in a premier Level 1 Trauma hospital setting. This travel NP role offers hands-on experience in post-operative cardiac care, ICU management, inpatient rounding, and surgical coordination. Work autonomously while collaborating with an experienced cardiothoracic surgery team in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
This is a top-tier opportunity for Nurse Practitioners seeking strong compensation, clinical autonomy, and advanced surgical exposure.
Job Responsibilities
• ICU management and daily rounding
• Conduct pre-operative physical exams
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
• Suture removal and minor bedside procedures
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans
• Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care
• Participate in scheduled call rotation
Qualifications
• Active Ohio NP License
• BLS & ACLS Certification
• Strong cardiothoracic or surgical inpatient experience preferred
• Clean professional background required
• Current NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days)
Working Hours
• Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Night Call: 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• 24-Hour Weekend Call (2 weekends per month)
• Approximately 10 days of call per month
Skills
• ICU critical care knowledge
• EMR proficiency (EPIC preferred)
• Strong clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration
• Ability to work independently in high-acuity settings
