$180/hr CT surgery NP locums in Toledo, OH.

A Level I Trauma Center in Ohio is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for locum tenens coverage while an open position is filled and a new hire is trained. This role includes inpatient post-operative floor coverage and ICU care with strong physician support.

Position Details

Role: Advanced Practice Provider (NP)

Practice Setting: Inpatient post-operative floor and ICU care with office-hour responsibilities

Coverage Reason: Open position and training of new hire

Schedule and Coverage

Coverage requirement is approximately 10 days per month, including coverage over two weekends. Initial coverage is needed January through April, with the potential to extend (TBD).

Regular shift hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Call requirements include 10 days of call per month with a 1:3 call ratio.

Patient Volume and Population

Average daily patient volume is approximately 12 patients.

Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients.

Practice Environment

Trauma designation: Level I

Documentation system: Epic

APPs function autonomously.

A supervising physician will round daily and is available 24/7 by phone.

Clinical Responsibilities

Suture removal

Diagnosis and treatment of illnesses

Ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests

Writing prescriptions

Coordination of care

Daily rounding

Pre-operative physical examinations

Credentialing

Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 60–90 days if the file is clean. The facility will attempt to expedite the process when possible.

Travel:

Facility reimburses for hotel, flight, and rental car.

Requirements

ANCC or AANP certification – required

Active Ohio medical license – required

BLS and ACLS – required

Relevant training and experience – required
